It seems that everyone is jumping on the cider bandwagon, and hence there are a swag of new Aussie ciders out there, some of which are good and others that seem average to me, especially when they come with their accompanying "boutique" price tag. So it is that I admit to being very critical of local ciders. But hey, some are good and others are just as good but way more pricey is all. A small handful of producers actually do have access to a few cider apple varieties and they are well worth a try...look for Bress and Henry of Harcourt, both of which are from Harcourt in Victoria.
